Uconnect and Uconnect Access for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Vehicles
Many people have a smartphone. Many people also have a car. If you own (or are buying) a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, or Ram vehicle, then those two things can be connected thanks to Uconnect. What is Uconnect and..
Is Uconnect free or do you have to pay to use it? Well, that depends on what you’re asking about. Take a look below.
Uconnect Infotainment System
Each new 2020 and 2021 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicle comes standard with the Uconnect infotainment system. It includes things like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as controlling available features like satellite navigation. The Uconnect system itself costs nothing above what you paid for the vehicle and will operate as normal. Uconnect Access, on the other hand, is a remote services monthly subscription that gives you unrivaled access to your vehicle from just about anywhere.
Uconnect Access
For $14.99 a month (or an annual payment of $149.99), you get the following features:
- 9-1-1 call
- Roadside assistance call
- Remote vehicle start
- Send ‘n Go smartphone navigation
- Vehicle finder
- Stolen vehicle assistance
- Remote lock/unlock
- Drive rating report
- Vehicle health report/alert
For a few dollars more than your Netflix subscription, you get access to peace of mind and complete control.

Wi-Fi Hotspot
Many 2020 and 2021 FCA vehicles also sport an integrated 4G Wi-Fi hotspot that can support up to eight devices simultaneously. It comes with a limited-time free trial. You can sign up for continued 4G services via AT&T for $20 a month. You can add up to two more vehicles for an extra $20 per vehicle per month (for a max of three vehicles, totaling $60 per month). After 22GB of data usage (per vehicle) in a bill cycle, you’ll get slower, but unlimited, data access.
