Ready to rock that summer look? You’ll need to grab the tool kit that came with your Jeep. By default, it’s stored in the center console of your Wrangler. Note that some of these steps may be slightly different on Wrangler models older than 2018.

  • Roll down the windows to prevent damage during door removal and storage
  • Remove the upper and lower exterior hinge pin screws with the T-50 Torx driver wrench
  • Store the hinge pin screws in the bolt tray, located in the Wrangler door frame
  • Remove plastic wiring access panel by sliding straight backwards toward rear of vehicle
  • Push red locking tab on wiring harness upwards
  • Push down on black security tab on the back of the wiring harness and lift up harness lever at the same time
  • Pull wiring harness straight down towards floor to disconnect
  • Store wiring harness in lower door basket
  • Remove interior center check screw with T-50 Torx driver wrench
  • Store check screw in bolt tray
  • Open door and lift straight up, until hinge pins are clear of the vehicle
  • Store doors in a cool, dry place
