The 2020 Ram 1500 Might be the Best Work Truck on the Market
Here at Juneks, we know that your work truck is important to you. A good work truck can make your work (and play) easier, letting you focus on the important things. When advertisements throw around phrases such as ‘best-in-class’ like they’re going out of style, it can be hard to know which truck really is worth your hard-earned money.
Rest assured, the standard 2020 Ram 1500 is a great work truck.

The Redesigned 3.0L EcoDiesel Turbocharged V6
The 2020 Ram 1500 will be once again available with the beloved 3.0L EcoDiesel, but flat-out better. In prior years, the 3.0L EcoDiesel was already putting out an impressive 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the redesign, the engine now puts out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. That torque is available on the low-end, kicking in around 400 rpm lower than previous years. The engine is rated to pull 12,560 pounds, only 190 pounds shy of the optional 5.7L V8 12,750-pound max.
Impressive Fuel Economy
Its in the name: EcoDiesel. While that might put off some, it shouldn’t. What the ‘eco’ implies is crazy high fuel economy, which means more money in your pocket and less in your fuel tank. According to Ram’s chief engineer, the 2020 Ram 1500 can be driven the 1,089 miles from Duluth, MN to Dallas, TX without stopping for fuel. Doing a little math with the 33-gallon fuel tank, that puts the Ram 1500 at 33 mpg highway. Diesels are also known for having good gas mileage while hauling cargo.
Stellar Interior and Exterior Cargo Space
The standard 4-door quad-cab is spacious enough on its own, but the rear seats fold up straight to reveal a load floor. Underneath the rear floor mats are a bunch of hidden deep bins for out-of-the-way, secure storage. The center console is huge, containing multiple bins and compartments. But the box is where the 2020 Ram 1500 really shines. The standard box is a sizable 5’7” between the wheel wells, with optional LED lights and extra tie-downs available. Also available is the RamBox, an optional bed that adds lockable exterior storage boxes and a movable cargo fence. This can be paired with the multi-function tailgate, which can be opened normally or like a door with a 60/40 split.
