The Ram 1500 comes with four powerful engine options and a standard TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission with an eTorque Mild Hybrid System. The first engine option is a 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine with eTorque. This engine delivers up to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The second engine option is the regular 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine. This engine also gets up to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
The third engine option is a 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine with eTorque. This engine delivers up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The fourth, and final, engine option is a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine. This engine gets up to 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. The eTorque systems use performance-enhancing and fuel-saving technology to help provide extra torque to enhance towing capabilities.
