When you see “eTorque” it indicates the engine gets paired with the model’s class-exclusive TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The advanced transmission setup utilizes an eTorque mild hybrid system, which replaces the traditional alternator with a 48-volt battery-powered motor generator. The battery-powered generator works to provide seamless start/stop functionality, add torque when specific driving situations call for it and utilize brake energy regeneration to increase efficiency.
